Well I had a change of heart for the D&D movie. I've seen season 1 of Mando and I'm set with everything else.

So watched the dnd trailer again, still going tonsee it eventually but why do do they need to make it a modern ish movie thats comedy. Why can't they make it an epic tale, Conan esk or Lord of the Rings

So the issue with that is the world building. Conan and LOTR have loads of world building material. Which world do you use for the D&D movie? The original ones tried to go the serious route but didn't stick the landing. I don't even think they used a preexisting world anyways. If they grounded it too much everyone would say it's a Rings of Power or House of the Dragon rip off. So instead they went over the top with it.

I'm hoping it's like a Brian campaign and not like mine. While both have a story to tell one has more carriage explosions.

Joe you need to lower your expectations, think of it like spending a few bucks on a nice comfy heated chair, a few bucks to go out with your friends outside of Robs house and then maybe if we are lucky we can get 3 to 5 dolllars of entertainment out of the movie :p

I get that combustion engines are bad for the environment. While these small changes might make small changes ultimately if you don't fix the big emitters it's all kind of pointless. It's kind of like the plastic straw issue that happened a few years ago. Sure that's nice but ultimately pointless.

Sadly my boss declined my vaca at Cape Cod, I am able to take Mon, Tues off but have to work Wed, Thurs 8 to 4pm

I agree on the limited environmental impact, but it all counts and I hate gas blowers/mowers so much as there is constantly someone using one in our neighborhood and it sounds like they are in my backyard…

As for the plastic straws, it certainly did not fix our plastic pollution where we get plastic rain now and plastic shows up in the deepest parts of the ocean and is inside the fish and crabs that we eat, but the straws themselves have been killing lots of small fowl and wildlife so it did have a big biodiversity improvement, or one would hope…

I’m bringing an iPad so I could rebuild my pathfinder character

I'm not going to make it. Still sore from yesterday's procedure. If I laugh too much I might pee myself

So I watched the D&D movie and I need someone to explain a lot of the logic/magic to me. I could not understand why they never picked a rogue for a party member when they need to sneak in somewhere. Druid would not be my first choice, also, how is the Druid able to shapeshift so many times in a row? What were those spells Sorcerer and the bad Red Wizard were throwing at each other and the bubble spell that caught the bard and Barbarian? Why was the Bard so useless? No charm or inspiration…

This movie was not going to be a literal translation of the D&D rules. If they did it would suck to high heaven. The idea was that they were trying to capture the feel of D&D and kind of how the world works. So characters were using abilities from higher levels or classes weren't exact to the handbook but they did show what each class or that type of person would sort of play out.

Fyi that pathfinder game is version 1.0 so its basically dnd 3.75. I would have tried it if it were pathfinder 2e. Also I hated Divinity 2 , wayyyy to much reading and loot management!
